How much is this likely to cost?
How long is a piece of string?

If you trawl the web looking for website developers you may find companies who offer template driven websites for about £300 or thereabouts. "Use our sitebuilder kit and have a professional looking website up and running in less than 3 minutes" they say. If that's the sort of thing you're looking for then we're not the company for you.

On the other hand a friend of mine working in a 'big' central London agency recently rang up to refer a job to me as it was below their threshold. "And what threshold is that" I asked with a dry mouth. "We don't touch a job for less than £50k" he told me. If you have £50k to spend on a website then sadly we are probably also not the company for you. For £50k you're going to want whole teams of beautiful marketing professionals or very trendy young people giving you powerpoint presentations on the website they are going to build for you (which in truth will not differ technologically from the one we would build for you, but that's another story)

We deliberately set out to service a market of SME/Charities etc. who want to do great work but don't have the top-end budget. We will do excellent work, but we will not give lots of flashy presentations or have swanky soho offices for you to visit. We have a very nice office in West Wickham High Street, thank you very much.

In the last year we have done work for £1500 and we have done work for £20,000. It all depends on the complexity of your project, the tools you need, the level of hosting and content management required, the scale of audience your project will need to serve... all sorts of things. What I can tell you - and our existing clients will bear this out - is that we will explain to you what's involved so that you can make the choices that determine the price, and that we will not go over budget unless you change the brief and we will always make you aware of this. There will be no nasty surprises here.
