Hosting
You've probably heard of hosting, you may well already be paying for it, but trying to get to the bottom of what you get for that money and why you should choose product X over product Y will not be an easy process. In my experience, some clients think it is just some hidden cost, but really is a crucial part of the jigsaw.

Simply put, hosting is concerned with the server(s) on which your website or email are kept and whether they are accessible easily, quickly and all the time when other computers try to connect to them. It is not the same as an ISP which is the company that provides your connectivity to the internet as a whole - we do not operate as an ISP, but our aim here is to have your website available to the world ALL the time.

As with most things we do, we only use high quality services and equipment so that we are able to offer our clients the best work rather than the cheapest. I have inherited many clients over the years who have learned the hard way that when it comes to hosting you get what you pay for.

We have a number of different facilities for serving up websites to your global audience. The technical specifications of them vary depending on what you need to achieve, and as a result some of them are cheaper and some are quite expensive. We will normally ask you a few questions about what you want to achieve, what your needs are, whether you need us to manage email on your behalf as well etc. and then give you a quote for hosting on a package tailored to you.

We do offer concessionary rates to charities and domestic customers, but generally speaking if you are looking for a $5 per month unstable featureless solution then we are not the right company for you.
