It has been brought to our attention that a customer using the same hosting facility as some of our sites has recently suffered a security breach. The facility have run exhaustive checks and cannot find any trace of any of the domains under our control being compromised in any way, but as a precautionary measure the hosting facility are enforcing a complete password change, without exception, on 13th December 2007. Your passwords will be reset to ones which have been randomly generated and adhere to a ‘strict' password policy.
We will be emailling all customers affected by this on 7th December with details of their new passwords.
It is essential that you update your email software on or after 13
th December with the new password. A guide to how to change your password in MS Outlook may be found
here
If after this date you wish us to reset your password to a more memorable password then you should also use the form on that page to notify us, however this is not recommended as a password that is easily memorable for you may be easily guessed by others. Please also note that you will not be able to reset the password to your existing password as this will be blocked for security purposes.
We do apologise for any inconvenience this causes. We have been assured that the process is entirely precautionary, but it still a sensible and practical thing to do.
